VOLUNTEER
Events don’t just happen, they take a massive effort from a team of people and one of the most essential of those is volunteers.
Relatively new to the NZ mountain bike scene, the Prospector was created by Alexandra locals James Williamson and Phil Oliver – the race is “designed by mountain bikers for mountain bikers”.
Whether you’re a local mountain bike enthusiast, a supporter coming to cheer on a rider or just someone who likes to contribute to your community – we would love to have you on The Prospector team.
We are looking for volunteers to help us across one or all of the days of the event. Volunteer roles are mainly as course marshals, road marshals and assistance with setup/breakdown but if you have some other specialist skill that we could use – get in touch!
Get amongst it! See some great mountain biking action and help support this event by volunteering. What will you get?
- A bold fashion statement – official Prospector Volunteer t-shirt
- Hydration to take away – official Prospector drink bottle
- Sustenance – lunch and snacks for your volunteer day
- All the info – we give you a comprehensive safety briefing about what is happening and what your role is so you feel supported, whether its the first time you’ve volunteered at an event or the 50th!
- Spot prizes specifically for our volunteers
- Good times – we have a volunteer and staff gathering during the week following the event. Come for a feed, some beverages and some chats about what an awesome weekend you had
- A fun crew to work with and some epic mountain biking to ogle at
